- Famous Films: Once Upon a Time in America, The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Many TV shows and independent films have also been shot here, including some I’ve worked on, such as the TV show Blue Bloods. DUMBO is a hotspot for commercial shoots, still photography sessions, and advertisements, making it one of NYC’s most versatile filming locations.

- Famous Films: The Other Guys (which I worked on as well), Jessica Jones, The Other Woman. Before its redevelopment, the High Line was frequently used as a gritty filming location. I recall working on the TV show New York Undercover, a popular police drama on FOX at the time, where many crime scenes and chase sequences were filmed along its industrial tracks and surroundings.

- Pro Tip: Shoot during sunrise or sunset to capture golden light and avoid the heavy pedestrian traffic of midday.
- Famous Films: Manhattan, The Dark Knight Rises, Once Upon a Time in America, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Siege (which I worked on, and was particularly memorable as we made it look like the bridge was set on fire. Additionally, I arranged for my friend’s daughter to appear as an extra in a scene where she is looking out the window observing actors being led out of a building and arrested). DUMBO continues to be a sought-after location for films, TV shows, commercials, and still photography shoots.

- Pro Tip: Visit late at night or early morning for dramatic neon-lit scenes with fewer crowds.
- Famous Films: Birdman, Vanilla Sky, Spider-Man: No Way Home. Has always been a challenge to focus my camera on details with the amount of traffic in the area.

- Why It’s Perfect: Central Park offers a versatile range of backdrops, from the romantic Bow Bridge to the dramatic Bethesda Terrace and the rustic Ramble. Whether you’re filming a rom-com, taking portrait shots, or shooting nature-focused projects, this urban oasis has it all.
- Pro Tip: Visit early in the morning for the softest light and to avoid crowds. Spring and fall are particularly picturesque with blooming flowers and vibrant foliage.
